Bob Starkey signed the Davis-Monthan Register eight times between April 5, 1929 and June 7, 1930. He flew an assortment of airplanes He landed first in the Ryan B-1 Brougham NC7729. His second landing was in Lockheed Vega NC7952 on August 20, 1929. This famous airplane is on display at the National Air & Space Museum, Washington, DC. His passenger that day was Theodore T. Hull a frequent visitor to Tucson. Follow the links for further information, and to see images.

He landed in Fleet NC340E and the Monosport NC113K. The Waco NX651N, Fairchild NC107M and Fleet NX618M.

Starkey shows up in a July 1925 news article, along with Bert Saxby, as a participant in an American Legion 4th of July airshow.
