factory with a single Curtiss OX-5 engine of 90 HP (S/N 5390).
It weighed 2,230 pounds. It was sold on 8/24/1927 to the Aero
Corporation of California, Western Ave. at 99th St., Los Angeles,
It was sold again on 9/12/1927 to Harry J. Tucker, 211 19th
St., Santa Monica, CA. The Davis-Monthan transient Register
lists one visit on 1/12/1928, inbound from Beacham Field,
Texas enroute to Los Angeles the next day. The pilot was Lee
Shoenhair and his passenger was H.J. Tucker.
The airplane changed hands two more times before, on 7/16/1931,
it crashed at Bell, CA. The airplane was “washed out”
and the pilot, Willard J. Wilson, was killed. The registration
was cancelled on 7/28/1931.
